![]() The tuna fishing was great- our first trip we caught fifteen small yellow-fin tuna (20-30 pounds) and on a later trip we caught a 50 lb tuna- Pound for pound, tuna fight the hardest of any fish. They are incredibly strong, agile and fast and they don't waste energy leaping out of the water like the marlin and sailfish. The first photo is kite fishing which Bruce had never seen done before. Like the marlin, you hope for the flash under the water indicating your fish is close. It can take several hours (5+) to reel in a monster 300 lb tuna. The last few photos are of a wahoo- a very fast and toothy fish. They have numerous sharp teeth (as you can see by the deep gauges left on the red lure) and are the third fastest swimmers in the ocean (Sailfish and marlin are slightly faster). |
