BELIZE, C.A.

The weather was spectacular in Belize.  We took a ship tour to an island called Bannister Island in the morning. It has every amenity you could imagine- food, drink, shopping, snorkeling, kayaking, volleyball, a playground and, of course, gorgeous beaches.  It is actually a man-made island and is three acres in size.  On the way to the island, we saw a pod pf dolphins; Abby was over the moon (her mom thought it was pretty cool too).  In the first photo you can see a mother and her calf.  They followed us for a short distance and it was thrilling for the whole boat.  We had our own private palm tree to park our stuff.  Abby discovered hermit crabs living on the pier and spent most of her time playing with them and her mom discovered a strange blue drink that really packed a punch... After we returned from Bannister Island, Abby and I did some shopping in Belize City- it was a lovely day.
