Epcot
Our first day at Disney began with a character meal. We saw the
princesses and had pictures taken as well as getting the essential
autographs. I didn't realize Mary Poppins was of royal blood but
she was there, along with Belle , Princess Aurora, Princess Jasmine, and Mulan. Ben was a bit intimidated at first but he soon
warmed up and was acting rather goofy by the time Mary Poppins arrived.
Lunch was another character meal in Epcot, the kids enjoyed the Nemo
ride and we had fun on the more adult rides- Ben loved them all and
cried when we got off 'Soaring'. Abby was chosen to dance for the
crowds at the Food and Wine show twice- she entertained everyone in the
afternoon and then again, in the evening as well.
As we were walking from the Princess breakfast we were approached by a
man handing out plastic cards to be worn around our necks. We
happily put them on and you can see Ben holding his up in the Nemo
photo. It turns out they only hand out 100 of these cards per day
at each park and you have a Fast-Pass for six of the most popular rides.
That meant we got to go on any ride whenever we wanted without any
waiting- it was only good once but we used all of the passes. It
is part of Disney's "Year of a Million Dreams".
