ROATAN ,HONDURAS
It rained in Roatan and was on the cool side-
while I went for a horseback ride in the jungle with Shirkie (El
Rancho Barrio Dorcas) and on the beautiful
beaches, the kids and Bruce went to a farm to see some distant
relatives... After the horseback ride & spider monkeys, the family
went to the Mayan Princess Resort -which looked gorgeous even in the
rain. The kids played in the pool and Bruce went snorkeling-
even though it rained, we did everything we had planned. We
had lunch along the ocean at a place in Half Moon Bay.
For the equestrians: The ride was great- I rode a sweet Paso Fino
grey gelding named 'Trigger' who tirelessly hauled me up and down
the hills at a canter as well as the distinctive smooth trotting
gait of his breed. We often rode smack in the middle of the road-
much to the consternation of the drivers who don't seem to pay
attention to the yellow line in the middle. The beach
ride was beautiful and we had a really nice time.
