Clearwater Festival 2007 #1 Every year we try to make the Clearwater Festival (Great Hudson River Revival) on Father's Day weekend. It is something we look forward to all year and this year was wonderful. We only went one day (Sunday) but the kids had a blast. There's plenty for them to do, hear, learn, see, and touch. We went for a refreshing dip in the Hudson River halfway through the day and spent the rest of the time shopping, listening to music, dancing, visiting the activists' booths, and just hanging out. I ran into two friends I haven't seen in over twenty years. Peggy, Christine and I used to teach environmental education at Camp Herrlich many moons ago. Both of them were at Clearwater running a booth for a Buddhist monastery in Wappinger Falls- a nice blast from the past. |
