Summer of 2010: Florida and the Western
Caribbean
Discovery Cove
|
Discovery Cove is an
exclusive resort which limits the number of people who can attend daily
so it is quiet and lacks the lines at the other parks. There is a
snorkeling area with tropical reef fish, a sting ray feeding area, a
plain pool and several dolphin encounter pools. It is
all-inclusive so you don't have to worry about money except in the gift
shop and the photo area. Abby and I did a dolphin encounter and Ben and
Bruce had fun watching and filming our adventure. Swimming with giant
Southern stingrays and the beautiful Spotted Eagle Rays was a highlight
of the day. The aviary was tremendous and the kids got to feed all
different kinds of birds- very cool and they even went twice. I took
about 200 photos of underwater critters and selected the best of the
lot- I LOVE my underwater camera, a really great investment. |
