Summer of 2010: Florida and the Western Caribbean
Main Page

Originally this was supposed to be Florida and the 'Eastern' Caribbean, however because of Hurricane Earl, Hurricane Fiona and as yet unnamed tropical depression G-, our cruise was diverted from St Thomas, St Martin and the Bahamas to Western Caribbean: Cozumel Mexico, Roatan-Honduras and Paradise Island in the Bahamas. We drove down to Florida the week before the cruise and stayed in Orlando. We had already done Disneyworld last year so we decided to go to Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove and Aquatica.

It was a fun filled week and then we boarded Norwegian Cruise Line's brand new mega-ship, the 'Epic' on Saturday August 28th, 2010. We had a lovely suite for the four of us , a spacious balcony and plenty of storage and room to move about. We saw the Blue Man group, Cirque Dreams and dinner, breakfast with Sponge-bob and company, Nickelodeon's Slime Time Live,  Second City Comedy and ate some excellent food. We had a balcony and the kid's enjoyed the Kid's Crew Club. Bruce and I had a lot of time to listen to art lectures, eat sushi, walk around, the ship, enjoy romantic dinners for two and generally relax and pamper ourselves.
