Western Caribbean 2009  NCL Pearl

Belize City, Belize CA
We rarely do tours through NCL but this one got rave reviews.  We travelled to the New River by motor coach and then travelled up the river by boat to the Lamanai ruins from the Mayan culture (Classical period: 260 AD to 960 AD ). Once we arrived we had a rustic lunch, then walked all over the ruins- Bruce did amazingly well with all the hiking and I even ventured up the steps of the temple.

Bruce said I looked very "me" here- healthy, happy and getting dirty in the jungle

Love this stone face- the Crocodile God

I climbed the smaller side steps...

Bruce failed to capture my look of abject terror-
notice I am not letting go of Abby and have Ben in a death grip!
